There seems to be more missing parts to the mystery of who stole the two f5e jet engines!
Their PR statement clarified the the brigadier-general and other fellos sacked happened before the loss of the two engines. See story below.
It took them SO LONG to clarify the persons involved were not connected! Bad PR really!
And one odd reason they were sacked was due to inefficiency and work performance. If that being so, KPI Minister must really learn from the RMAF how they really go about sacking fellos because of this and enforce it in the civil service. That will mean trimming about 70% of the over million civil servants which will be a good thing as it will save taxpayers money from pay, benefits and the endless perks they get, particularly those higher officers!
But it's also bad if you sack 70% civil servants as they have been BTN you know - 'Brainwashed Totally Nowadays' to be pro BN and losing them will mean losing the vital BN voters! a sad indication these civil servants have developed crutches so dependent on the government they think they can't survive as private workers!
Earlier it was reported elsewhere that the job was the work of lower officials. If that was so it would mean these lower officials are smarter and got more brains than the officers and Generals. Wonder if the top brass were playing golf while the engines were being stolen!
And for the AG to want to a futher probe on how the engines got abroad, now we are told in Argentina. But shouldn't you be arresting people first and then interrogate them to find out how they succeeded in stealing the engines?
The engine has been traced so it should be easier to backtrack to find out the crooked trails right? If the engines were not found, that would be a different matter!
Either they have caught those involved or they have not! If they had, they would have made it public as probably the former Defence Minister must want some positive results as any delay only raise public's suspicion that something is amiss in the theft as well as the investigation.
For the police not to reveal the names may be their strategy not to let those who have not been caught to know what the police is up to. Provided they have caught someone or some people.
So while the police does their work, the public is warned not to speculate. How does one make speculation and assumptions that are in conflict with the facts to avoid confusion when one does not know what the facts are?
The facts being admitted this far are; two engines got stolen, the fellos sacked are not related to the stolen engines, the police is investigating and it happened during the time of the former Defence Minister, two in fact!
The fact that everyone is interested in right now is after so long, has anyone been apprehended, even a suspect?
When the RMAF investigated the theft, does it mean they didn't find anything that they needed to hand it to the police for further investigation? If that was the case, then BolehLand has much to fear because if the military intelligence can't even find out thefts in their own rank and file, how would they be able to gather intelligence of foreign threat?
Unless, the military has found the culprits and have handed them to the police for further action. But then the common belief is the military has its own court to try its people, for offences within their compound! If their men committed offence outside the base, it becomes a police and civil matter isn't it?
Unless the jet engines got stolen elsewhere not in the military compound. But that can't be because you don't send your sensitive engine like you send your kancil to an ahmad or ahkow workshop in Cheras or Balakong right? Unless they were trying to save money and use 'kereta potong' parts to replace the jet engine parts!
So if they knew the engines are in Argentina, then the modus operandi should easily be determined if the perpetrators are caught already.
And still no word on MACC if they are going to be involved. Are they still celebrating the year end holidays? or they didn't get any public filing a complaint to them about the missing jet engine. If that is what is needed for them to act, senior Lim should file one immediately since he is the one asking for a Royal Commission!
It will be interesting to see how the BN fellos wrangle themselves out of this. None of the BN partners are coming out forcefully to seek answers. They are leaving it to the good hands of their No1 chief who will somehow be able to let everyone 'amiss' on the truth when it matters! They will have to do more than having missing immigration records. It would mean missing export shipment and declaration of goods forms including the many paper trial needed to take out such huge engines.
Is it that the Customs & Excise fellos didn't detect the engines parts as they were too busy peeking into Southern neighbour cars to make sure they don't defy the petrol quota or are only familiar with scrap metal to know what a jet engine look like? Or they were not trained in identifying jet engines, thinking they must be some water turbines or Toy r U's engines bound for Argentina? This latest incident should cause them to revamp their training curriculum on identifying things that are being shipped out or shipped in say like jet engines, submarine torpedoes, maybe even uranium?
And blogs have reported of missing birds, i.e. aircrafts purportedly undelivered and sitting in the desert somewhere in US of A. But will such 'speculation' cause MOHA and MACC to at once start an investigation to see if the claims are true! After all, they acted as fast as the speed of light in cyberspace when an anonymous blog mentioned something about some PKR fellos for having some underworld connection!
As each day passes and there is no news if the perpetrators are caught, the morale of the RMAF may be affected with public's growing negative perception of them. The longer the delay, the more the credibility issue of 1Malaysia gets eroded!
The public is not questioning the investigation nor want in any way to interfere in the investigation. Their concern is the length of time it is taking!
The AG has been many times quick to bring closure to many cases that involve the Pakatan fellos. The minute a police report is made against a Pakatan rep, the next instant action is taken! Well they have shown their efficiency in fighting against those who are suspected of causing sensitivities and affect the security of the nation.
The RMAF theft is way above that of MPs being investigated for causing sensitivities. And because of this the public expects even quicker action and faster answers and not to use the law to threaten anyone who questions the delay.

Officer And Men Sacked Before Engines Loss Discovered
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- A brigadier-general and several other personnel were sacked before the loss of the two F-5E aircraft engines was discovered.
The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF)'s public relations office in a statement today said the actions taken were more related to inefficiency and work performance and were normal measures implemented to prevent repetition of undesirable matters.
"With this statement, the RMAF hopes that quarters will not speculate and make assumptions that are in conflict with the facts to avoid confusion.
"The RMAF is always aware of a asset management and operation system to ensure the preparedness of the RMAF is highest at all times," the statement said.
On the case regarding the loss of the engines as reported in the media recently, the statement said it was handed over to the police for further investigation.
"The RMAF understands that the case is being studied and awaiting instructions from the Attorney-General for further action," the statement said.
The statement said as such the RMAF will not make any statement that can disturb investigation and prosecution and hoped all quarters would wait for feedback from the Attorney-General's Chambers before making any statements.
The RMAF began operating the F-5E in 1974. In 1999, the air force made a decision to terminate the aircraft's services and its role as a frontline fighter jet was taken over by the MiG-29N and F/A-18D.
However in 2003 the aircraft, then aged 29 years in the RMAF inventory, was re-activated as a training and reconnaisance aircraft to meet current needs.-- BERNAMA
