Honey, I Stole Two Jet Engines Actually!

Are we missing something when BolehLand folks thought only one humongous RM40m jet engine was missing, i.e. stolen!

Now it seems another bombshell is dropped. 'Sungai Besi, we have lost another engine'.

So a 'strike two' led to 21 fellos being sacked over their alleged involvement. 'Alleged' which means it's not proven they did it right? So there is nothing wrong in returning them their benefits and pension as you cannot accuse them if there is no proof. So there should not be any public outcry or concern that these fellos walked away freely without losing out anything. So case should be closed right? Why all the fuss of thinking 'it's an inside job' when none was convicted of any crime!

But things have a knack of disappearing under the watch of someone with so may 'Cs' connected, like ' defenCe minister, including a few unpleasant, unfounded deadly allegations that are 'c' related, 'Corruption' and a certain (CH2-N-NO2)3 formula.

But there are also other positive 'Cs' credited to this fello, especially those related to the 1Malaysia thingy such as 'Change, transparenCy, aCCountability, performanCe' and all that.

Seems a full scale, comprehensive, detailed investigation is underway. And 1Malaysia said there will be 'no cover up' of the theft. But judging from past scandals and fiascoes, yes it may end up being a verb cover-up to become 'no, cover up the theft!'

But why is this only revealed now! Okay, it's still under probe and noone must know about it you know or else the crooks will escape. Never mind if other types of alleged corruption of politicians are splashed front page even before the investigation has started. Some 'crimes of alleged corruption' such as donating av equipment to mosques, sugar cane machine or buying jalur gemilang or holding vigils are deemed more urgent to be public information the instant a police report is filed by members of the public.

But no, RM100 m is probably just like the cost of a screw or nut missing compared to the billions of ringgit lost in some sea port or rail project, even collapse stadium and structures!

But then, screws and nuts besides maggi mee supplied to the military are astronomically expensive, like the cost of a jet engine, no?! So a missing screw and nut is serious in the military, especially the air force as it could crash a multi million ringgit expensive top-gun Russian MIG fighter jet you know!

Even if it's a police case as it is a theft, shouldn't MACC be also involved as it may smack on corruption! Has MACC lost it's engine being unable to power-up their fellos to fly in and dig up the 'rot' that may be infecting this 'Iron River' (Sungei Besi) RMAF base!

This Really eMbarrassing Air Force fiasco has further tarnished the nation's sense of security and we thought there was nothing beneath the carpet. But hey, after 52 years, what's swept under the carpet is more than a molehill, a colossal mountain really, with two missing jet engines thrown in for good measure!

And the good armed forces chief admits that these two huge engines case is 'just tip of the iceberg!' BolehLand doesn't need any COPS15 to combat climatic change! There is enough of 'sh*#' it generates itself to corrode away Iron River and so much heat generated from all the heated up frustrations the common folks feel with this latest scandal!

Are we all going to be surprised anymore what will go missing next, if the boots supplied land up in Siberia, maggie mee in Thailand, or canned ayamas on sale in Balakong night market? Or the new sub lands in somebody's living room aquarium!

Isn't military equipment and things considered highly sensitive and secret stuff? Shouldn't it be an ISA issue as national security and safety is compromised with such theft? Doesn't it show that the military has been easily infiltrated?

In other nations, including banana republics, if the top brass is found to be negligent and embarrass the government and the nation, they including whoever is the minister are sacked! No brownie points for guessing if this will ever happen in BolehLand! They would rather convict the buyer than the seller, the one who commits the crime than the brains behind it, no?

Perhaps during this festive season where JPJ roadblocks are set up to prevent people killing themselves and each other while driving may be advised to be on the alert for a pimped up SLK that sounds like a jet engine of sorts! It wouldn't be surprised if the open the bonnet of the Super Light Kancil to find the third missing jet engine. And you wonder why some cars have sticks that reads ' There is a Tiger in my tank'! It might not be the Tiger we think it is... not the wounded Wood one but for that tiger that once flew in the sky with its engine missing!

SLK 5E Tiger
Yup possible where the two stolen jet engines went!

It's two engines stolen as Najib pledges no cover-up
2009/12/22
KUALA LUMPUR: Not one but two jet-fighter engines, each worth RM50 million, were stolen from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Sungai Besi.
Both engines served as powerplants to the F-5E Tiger II fighter and RF-5E Tigereye reconnaissance jets.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail said the two engines were discovered stolen in May last year. RMAF had lodged a report with the police on Aug 4 last year.
Gani, speaking to the New Straits Times, said police investigation papers would be returned to the Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department today with additional directives.
“They will now focus their investigations into government procedures with regard to the transportation of the engines, the private defence contractor handling it and several other individuals, including Malaysian armed forces personnel.” The A-G’s Chambers had received the investigation papers last month.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said there would be no cover-up of the theft, adding that the Defence Ministry had lodged a police report in August last year.
Police had sent Gani a note on the case in May this year. He had given the nod to proceed with investigations in June.
Gani will also ask police to furnish more details on the stolen General Electric J85-21A turbojet engines.
He said the first engine was transported out of RMAF’s Butterworth base to the Sungai Besi base in June 2007 while the second engine was moved out five months later in November.
Both engines were to be kept in a warehouse at the Sungai Besi base before being taken out for maintenance.
The engines were taken out of the Butterworth base by the same private defence contractor handling its maintenance.
Both engines were only discovered stolen along with their maintenance records when RMAF officers wanted to service them in May last year.
RMAF lodged a report with the police in August last year after searching for the engines at all its airbases.
The case was later handled by the Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department in Bukit Aman.
The New Straits Times fir st highlighted the case of the stolen jet engine on Saturday.
It was learnt that the eng ines were sold to arms dealers on the black market.
Intelligence reports suggested the engines were later transported to a US-sanctioned Middle Eastern country that was keen on developing its own fighter jet.
Armed forces chief Tan Sri Azizan Ariffin, in confirming the case, had also said that the case was the “tip of the iceberg”.
An audit launched after the case also showed that equipment worth several millions of ringgit were missing.
